Independence Day Weekend: Part 1

We just got back from a much-needed break in Orange Beach, but Cristina and the kids continued to Nashville for a Fourth of July visit with family. My father hosts a celebration every year that I haven't missed in ages, but this year I stayed behind to campaign.

It turned out to be a memorable holiday here! I had the honor of being the Grand Marshal of our neighborhood parade, riding in a beautiful car alongside City Councilwoman Nettie Davis. That evening, I headed over to Ballard Park for Tupelo's Fourth of July event, where I set up an information table for the campaign. The music and fireworks were fantastic! Aside from getting blocked in by traffic for a while afterward, it was a great day.
